SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 8 – Abdoul Hanne
was arrested in The Bronx on
April 6, 2020 for alleged
crack dealing around the AK
Houses in East Harlem.
He was sent to
New Jersey, to the Essex
County Correctional Facility,
from which he has applied of
release on bail.
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katharine Polk Failla
held a proceeding on June 8;
Inner City Press covered
it.
The government
emphasized that Hanne evaded
law enforcement from December
2019 (a "takedown" that Inner
City Press covered in-person
from the SDNY Magistrates
Court) until April. They
distinguished Hanne's case
from those of others who have
been released on
bail.
Judge Failla
agreed, denying Hanne's bail
application.
The case is US v.
Whitmore, 19-cr-846
(Failla).
