SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 7 – Ronald
Matthews pleaded guilty to
violations of supervised
release, in a case stretching
back to 2016.
On April
7, U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis A. Kaplan held a
sentencing. Inner City Press
covered it.
The record in the
case has much discussion of
in-patient treatment. For this
proceeding, there was the
question of whether telephone
would suffice, without video.
A break-out room was
established, and Inner City
Press hung
up.
At 11:20 it
called back in. Audio-only had
been agreed to. Matthews got
time served and 21 more months
of supervised release.
The case is US v.
Matthews, 16-cr-212 (Kaplan)
