SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 31 – A company called
Off-White LLC sued a series of
Ali Baba and other storefront
for counterfeiting.
On October
30 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Laura Taylor Swain held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Inner City Press went asked
identified itself. Others had
also apparently been asked,
because Judge Swain asked why
a Ms. Maldonado was on the
line.
I got an
e-mail, she replied. But from
whom? Another woman named
Ellen repeatedly spoke, but it
emerged she was responding to
a notice from the plaintiff's
lawyer.
Judge Swain
citing courterfeiting ordered
a preliminary injunction. But
how will it be enforced?
The case is
OFF-WHITE LLC v. ANOGAR-32 et
al., 20-cv-7892 (Swain)
