SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 22 –
Scott Lupia was a New Jersey
Transit conductor when he was
forced to drive a drive in a
cab in which the temperature
was 114 degrees, with no air
conditioning.
He passed out and
hit his head. He
sued.
On March 21, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Lupia's
lawyer said his demand will be
substantial, due to loss of a
career, and serious injury.
NJT's counsel said he will
want to conduct depositions.
Judge Liman set a
post-discovery conference for
September 15 at 10 am and said
he would like to try the case
in late 2022 or early 2023.
It is Lupia v.

Operations, Inc., 21-cv-11077
