SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 8 –
Preston Kaye worked as a real
estate broker for Bespoke Real
Estate LLC until he didn't.
Now Bespoke is suing him for
allegedly taking information
and leads. He responds that
Bespoke and its Hamptons
business owe him money.
On June 8,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding, and Inner City
Press covered it.
It began with a
discussion of when the SDNY
courthouse might re-open for
trials, with one of the
lawyers describing not wanting
to come to the courthouse and
another describing his firm
divided into Team A and Team
B, to have only half of these
staff in the office at any one
time.
Kaye was
described as young; the
Bespoke lawyer quoted what he
said was a threat made when he
left. Judge Abrams accepted
the case management plan, and
set July 17 as the deadline
for amended pleadings and any
joinder. The rest was pushed
back into 2021.
The case is
Bespoke Real Estate LLC et al
v. Kaye et al., 20-cv-673
(Abrams).
