SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 1 – Bronx-based Vista
Food Exchange, Inc. has sued
Tijuana, Mexico-based
Comercial De Alimentos Sanchez
S De R L De C.V. for refusing
to pay for $750,000 worth of
meat products.
On
April 1, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Magistrate Judge
Sarah L. Cave held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Cave
chided the parties for letting
discovery deadlines expire.
She ruled that
discovery remains closed
except for a limited
exception, dealing with
documents showing Vista's
acceptance of cash payments
from Sanchez, and the results
of Vista's search for internal
communications regarding it
employee Eduardo Andujo
Rascon's termination.
A joint
letter is due April 16.
The case is Vista
Food Exchange, Inc. v.
Comercial De Alimentos Sanchez
S De R L De C.V., 18-cv-8999
