SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 20 – Lisa Rivera sued her
landlord, 170 Kingsbridge
Pistilli LLC, for failing to
accommodate her disabilities:
cerebral plasy and multiple
sclerosis.
On July 20
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The problem was,
the defendant did not show up.
And given that,
Judge Koeltl was not wont to
issue a temporary restraining
order concerning the
building's elevator, not being
able to hear from the landlord
what safety issues there might
be.
The case is
Rivera v. 170 Kingsbridge
Pistilli LLC et al.,
20-cv-1577 (Koeltl)
