SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 22 – John Ulrich was
charged with taking bribes as
an official of Teamsters Local
812.
On July 22 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New
York Judge Analisa
Torres held a sentencing
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Before
Judge Torres ruled on
sentence, she heard how Ulrich
referred to others in the
union as "scumbags;" she also
noted letters from union
members who said at an earlier
stage Ulrich had been
available 24 hours a day to
work on the issues of union
members.
The
guidelines were 18 to 24
months, and Judge Torres went
within but at the lower end:
18 months, followed by two
years of Supervised Release. '
The case is US v.
Ulrich, 19-cr-107 (Torres)
