SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 7 – The estate of
Keren Shatsky sued the
Palestine Liberation
Organization for a bombing
that occurred on February 16,
2002 at a pizzeria in the town
of Karnei Shomron in the
Samaria region of the West
Bank.
On November
6, 2020, more than 18 years
later, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Among Judge
Vyskocil's first questions was
why was yet another six months
being asked for. The answer
called this lawsuit a
"protective action" - keeping
open rights while also
litigating in Washington DC.
There is another case pending
in the SDNY before Judge
George B. Daniels.
Judge Vyskocil
said she would be pushing the
case forward.
It is Shatsky et
al v. The Palestine Liberation
Organization et al.,
18-cv-12355 (Vyskocil)
