SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 5 –
Edwin Zayas sued West 21 Deli
at 215 Eighth Avenue under the
Americans with Disabilities
Act.
On May 5, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Lewis J. Liman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Limin noted the parties
said they wanted a four day
trial, and said that would be
too long (and that it probably
wouldn't happen at all).
He asked
the parties if they are near
settlement, then referred them
to the SDNY Mediation Program,
with a post-discovery status
conference set for October 21
if necessary.
The case
is Zayas v. Doral
Realty, LLC, et al.,
21-cv-10131 (Liman)
