SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 16 – Luigi Abreu, a blind
person, sued Beauty-Lab LLC
for having an allegedly
inaccessible website, seeking
to turn it into a class
action.
On May 16, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Lewis J. Liman
held a conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Liman asked why the proposed
case management plan said that
the parties have NOT conferred
under Rule 26(f).
He said that is
required. Counsel apologized,
and said it won't happen
again.
Other than that,
the case management plan was
approved.
The case is Abreu
v. Beauty-Lab LLC, 22-cv-1297
(Liman)
