SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 3 – A company called
Tianrui has asked for a
discovery order from U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jesse M. Furman, who on
June 3 held a proceeding.
Inner City
Press called in and when Judge
Furman asked who was on the
line, Inner City Press
identified itself, "Not a
participant."
Karl Geercken of Alston &
Bird for CNBM said some delay
is caused by him not speaking
Mandarin.
Judge
Furman asked, Why did it take
so long to move to
intervene?
Geercken
answered, They only decided
last week and that's when
instructions were given, to
protect their rights here.
Judge Furman denied requests
to file briefs longer than 25
pages, telling the parties he
rarely grants oral argument
but will consider it.
The case is In Re
Tianrui (International)
Holding Company Limited,
19-mc-00545 (Furman).
