SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 3 – Shinxu Bai sued a law
firm for presenting him a
supposed EB-5 eligible
investment in a New York based
grocery
store.
On
November 2, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Robert W.
Lehrburger held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
An issue
now is whether diversity
jurisdiction exists, with the
involvement of Chinese and
Russian nationals.
The plaintiff
responds that "the Citizenship
Clause of the 14th Amendment
expressly equates citizenship
with residence."
The case is Bai
v. Tegs Management, LLC et
al., 20-cv-4942 (Nathan /
Lehrburger)
