SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 22 – Motty Drizen billed
Medicare for tests that were
never performed. His
co-conspirator Anthony
Palmieri was sentenced to six
months. The US Attorney said
this, then redacted three
lines.
On June 22
Drizen and supporters appeared
for sentencing before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Alison J. Nathan. Inner
City Press covered
it.
The US Attorney
had agreed to a guideline of
zero to six months. After the
back and forth including by a
religious person, Judge Nathan
went with zero, but two years
of supervised release and
$39,000 of restitution,
apparently already paid.
The case is US v.
Drizin, 20-cr-36 (Nathan).
