SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 9 – Patrick Crowley sued
Billboard Magazine for firing
him, noting that he is
gay.
On March 9, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn
held a discovery proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Crowley says he
was fired after being targeted
by false allegations of sexual
harassment, submitted to
Buzzfeed, by Nic Thakkar and
Nate Hernandez, quoted
bragging on Twitter about a
boost in listeners from 40 to
1,400 in a month.
Judge
Netburn asked, if the dispute
does not really revolve around
performance, why there should
be be discovery into those
issues.
The case is
Crowley v. Billboard Magazine
et al., 19-cv-7571 (Koeltl /
Netburn)
