SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 26 – Entsorgafin S.p.A
sued Entsorga West Virginia,
LLC over a series of
promissory notes. Now the
defendant may be without a
lawyer.
On June 24, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
On
the request by defense counsel
to withdraw, Judge Liman said
he wanted to hear it ex parte
and for the plaintiff and
anyone else to get off the
line. Inner City Press
did.
Judge
Liman said the parties and the
press and public would know
his decision on the
application by an order to
come out.
And it did: the
counsel was allowed to pull
out. There is a post-discovery
conference on December 13 at
11 am.
The case is
Entsorgafin S.p.A v. Entsorga
West Virginia, LLC, 22-cv-1559
(Liman)
