SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 29 – In another in the
series of website access cases
under the ADA, Fred Astaire
Dance Studios, Inc. has been
sued over an allegedly
inaccessible
website.
On June
27, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Lewis J. Liman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The
parties are discussing
resolving the case.
In other
cases, a new EDNY precedent
that a website is not a public
accommodation for purposes of
the ADA is being raised. In
this one, a January 20, 2023
conference at 2 pm was set.
The case is
Williams v. Fred Astaire Dance
Studios, Inc., 22-cv-2717
(Liman)
