SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 10 – Armando Barbier was
charged with taking out cell
phones from Best Buy in other
people's names and selling
them.
On
November 10 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Laura Taylor Swain held the
change of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Barbier spoke
movingly. He said he'd done it
because of a brother who had
cancer, and taking care of
others.
He said he
works two jobs and is an
amateur boxer.
Judge Swain
expressed sympathy and
accepted the plea.
The case is US v.
Barbier, 19-cr-677 (Swain)
