SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 4 – Patrick Donohue filed
a qui tam action against New
York City and other political
subdivisions, for fraud under
the Individuals with
Disabilities Education Act
(IDEA).
On January 4, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Stewart D.
Aaron held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
While the
NYC Law Department complained
that they hadn't been properly
served on a timely basis, and
said they don't accept links
as service since a security
breach, Judge Aaron extended
plaintiff's time to serve the
City and others through the
end of
January.
The one defendant
which has appeared and made a
motion to dismiss, the Loudoun
County Public School District,
Judge Aaron ordered plaintiff
to respond to by January 18,
with Loudoun's reply due by
January 26.
The case
