SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 24 – Argelianka Garcia
was arrested in New York City
at 6:05 am on July 23.
Past 8 pm that
evening, she was presented
before U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrate Judge Barbara
Moses. Inner City Press
covered it - the evening's
"CourtCall" connection had
failed, but after inquiry
Inner City Press was provided
with a heretofore unpublished
call-in number, for which it
is grateful. (Another
presentment, of a Mr.
Cespedes, fell through the
cracks, at least until
now).
Although a
docket number was read out,
the case was not yet in the
PACER database on July 23. Now
on July 24 it is.
The
so-called Rule 5 affidavit
recites that FBI agent Hannah
R. Kuhrt recites that she
executed a search warrant in
December 2019 involving
Argelianka Garcia, which led
to her indictment in the
Northern District of West
Virginia for alleged
violations of 21 USC 846 and
841(b)(1)I(C).
Garcia was
allowed out on bail, or
$100,000 bond, to appeared in
NDWVa on August 19.
The SDNY case is
US v. Garcia, 20-mj-7714
(Moses)
