SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 14 – Taufiq Parekh was
entering a taxi cab on 63rd
Street on October 16, 2021
when the driver started
moving, driving over and
fracturing his foot. He
sued.
On September 14,
2022, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J. Liman held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Discovery
issues arose, from the sneaker
at issue to tax returns, which
Judge Liman said are
disfavored by the law.
A
settlement conference is next,
on September 22. Judge Liman
also scheduled trial for
October 31.
The case is
Parekh et al v. Dhaliwal,
21-cv-9963 (Liman)
