SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 21 – Alicia Jimenez and
others sued El Chevere
Cuchifritos Corp. of 2000
Third Avenue for violations of
wage and hours laws,
On September 14,
2022, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J. Liman held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Ms.
Jimenez' complaint says she
was working 75 hours a week,
but was not paid overtime.
Judge Liman
listened and set a trial date
of October 19 - but he also
referred the matter for a
settlement conference before
Magistrate Judge Gabriel W.
Gorenstein on October 4 at 10
am.
