SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 19 – Moises Garcia Campos
is charged with illegal
re-entry of the United States
- under another
name.
On January
19 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John P. Cronan held an
arraignment and bail
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Cronan noted that the would
call the defendant Raul
Gutierrez-Campos, as the
complaint does. He asked age
and educational
history.
"Forty
six... I mean, forty three
almost forty four. No
education, my parents in
Mexico were too
poor."
He has been
working making breakfast
sandwiches in a deli and wants
to return to his job.
The Federal
Defender said her client
cannot read, and so should be
released on bail. That was in
fact accomplished.
The case is US v.
Gutierrez-Campos, 20-mj-11195
(Cronan)
