SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 29 – Mark Clarke had a
Violation of Supervised
Release hearing on July 29, at
which he spoke - but in
advance, he left voice mails
on July 23 and July
26.
On July 29, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis A. Kaplan held the VOSR
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
When it was
his time, Clarke spoke and
said he was his own Federal
jurisdiction, that he
supervised himself.
Judge
Kaplan after a time said that
this was repeating the voice
mails Clarke had left for
him.
And in the
docket, transcribed, where
Clarke's July 23 and July 26
voice mail messages. In the
first, Clarke said his
probation officer mistreated
him.
In the second, he
said his lawyer (who also
represents R. Kelly) "called
my mom and told her to tell me
to stop calling me, that
you're going to file
harassment on me if I keep
calling you."
Judge
Kaplan set another proceeding
for August 11 and asked for
information before then about
Clarke's mental competence.
The case is US v.
Clarke, 16-cr-212 (Kaplan)
