SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 17 – Milton Simon has sued
the NYC Department of
Corrections, saying he was
slashed across his cheek and
suffered nerve
damage.
On May 17, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Magistrate Judge
Sarah Netburn held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
At first,
the government lawyers said
Simon would be on the line
soon, he was being walked from
the Sing Sing housing unit to
wear virtual court appearances
are made.
But he did not
appear, and the government
lawyers said it might be that
he refused, or some "security
incident."
With that unresolved, talk
turned to Simon submitting to
a deposition. He will be
informed of the date.
The case is Simon
v. NYC Department of
Corrections, 18-cv-12063
(Cronan / Netburn)
