SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 17 – Aaron Paul-Hudgins
was up for sentencing for
fraudulently upgrading hacked
cell phones to the tune of
$254,544.
On November 17, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Laura Taylor Swain held his
sentencing. Inner City Press
covered it.
The US
Attorney's office was asking
for 27 to 33 months.
But Paul-Hudgins
with supporters in the
courtroom, showed that he has
a job and is arguably turning
things around.
His Federal
Defender asked for a
non-custodial sentence.
Judge Swain went with a year
and a day, which allowed for
good time credit.
She spoke
movingly in giving advice.
The case is US v.
Paul-Hudgins et al.,
19-cr-677-LTS (Swain)
