SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 25 – Damian
Herrera-Martinez was injured
on a construction site at 17
Jane Street in Manhattan on
September 18, 2017 when the
drill bit from a drill he was
using got stuck in a wall and
he lost his balance and fell.
Two insurers
litigated about who should
pay.
On October
21, 2022, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Lewis J. Liman
held a status conference.
Inner City Press covered it.
Judge Liman was
informed that parties had
reached a settlement in
principle. He issued a 30 day
order dismissing the action
without prejudice to restoring
it in a month.
The case is, or
was, The Travelers Property
Casualty Company of America v.
Axis Insurance Company,
21-cv-4748 (Liman)
