SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 4 – Absolute Nevada LLC,
the owner of the ship M/V
Americana, sued Grand Majestic
Riverboat Company and Captain
Joseph L. Baer for harming
their business.
On August 4
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge P. Kevin Castel held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The lawyer
for Absolute Nevada said their
attempt to use the boat to
serve Lockheed Martin had been
injured by Captain Baer, who
arguably was not represented
at the August 4 hearing.
Judge Castel
asked the Riverboat attorney
for whom it he really making
arguments.
Judge
Castel gave all sides ten days
to submit letter briefs on the
question of service.
The case is
Absolute Nevada, LLC v. Grand
Majestic Riverboat Company
LLC, 19-cv-11479 (Castel)
