SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 20 – Jeremy Levin,
for terrorism by Hezbollah
attributable to Iran, sued
Bank of New York, JP Morgan,
Citibank, Societe Generale and
others, back in
2009.
Now the
governments wants to
interview, and Societe
Generale wants a protective
order.
On January
20, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrate Judge Robert
W. Lehrburger held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Reference
was made to a FOIA request to
OFAC, and other sanctions
regimes were discussed.
Judge Lehrburger
granted the Government limited
intervention and denied SocGen
a protective order, without
prejudice to the bank renewing
the application.
The case is RWL
Levin et al v. Bank of New
York et al., 09-cv-5900
(Oetken / Lehrburger)
