SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 10 – Xavier Delacruz was
arrested with two kilograms of
heroin, the US Attorney says,
and on October 9 asked for his
detention.
U.S. District
Judge for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Magistrate Judge Barbara Moses
held a bail hearing. Inner
City Press covered
it.
The US
Attorney's Office said
Delacruz was arrested with a
Florida ID in another name,
and a concealed firearm
license too. They said he had
worked for the Department of
Corrections.
On the
record Delacruz' income, at
Yankee Stadium until COVID and
on unemployment since, was
described - precisely the type
of information being withheld,
despite Inner City Press'
formal filings to unseal,
regarding Michael Avenatti
before SDNY Judge Jesse M.
Furman and David Correia in
the Lev Parnas case before
Judge J. Paul
Oetken.
After more than
half an hour, Judge Moses
ruled that Delacruz can be
released, but must get
co-signers first.
His Federal
Defender, the same firm
seeking to keep their client
Michael Avenatti's finance's
sealed, said she'll make some
calls and try for October 13,
after Columbus / Indigenous
People's Day.
The case is US v.
Delacruz, 20-mj-10858 (Moses)
