SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 15 – Advanced Water
Technologies had a deal, or
thought it did, with Amiad for
water filtration in New York
City and Long Island. But in
April 2018 Amiad terminated
the deal.
AWT sued, and on
June 15 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Lewis J. Liman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Liman said he agreed, he
didn't appreciate new case law
being deployed for the first
time during a telephone
conference.
But he examined
the discovery disputes,
including the statement that
"clients are untrustworthy" at
least as to responding to
discovery requests, and
allowed an interrogatory to go
forward.
The case is
Advanced Water Technologies
Inc. v. Amiad U.S.A., Inc.,
18-cv-5473 (Liman).
