SDNY MAG COURT,
August 12 – In the Magistrates
Court of the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York on August
12, Ralph Scurlock was
presented on an indictment for
being a felon in possession of
a firearm, brought in from
Maine where he was arrested on
July 22.
SDNY
Magistrate Judge Barbara C.
Moses asked why she had the
Compalint, not the indictment
which was said to have been
wheeled out to District Judge
Cronan. Magistrate Judge
Moses, on criminal duty for
the week, asked Who wheeled it
out?
It emerged it was
wheeled out on August 2, by
Magistrate Judge Netburn, and
not turned in until this
proceeding.
The
Complaint, which Inner City
Press later looked up in the
docket after returning from
the in person proceeding,
cited a shooting on Grand
Avenue and West Tremont in The
Bronx on July 4, 2019.
Scurlock was detained
on consent, without a control
date, "in the ether," it was
said.
The case is US v.
Scurlock, 21-cr-489 (Cronan /
Moses)
