SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 18 – Ramiz Povataj was
arrested for commercial
burglary in Queens County, New
York.
On
November 18, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Chief
Judge Colleen McMahon held a
violation of supervised
release proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
At issue
was how long the SDNY will
wait for one of these
sometimes interminable state
proceedings.
Povataj's lawyer
describe the state process -
he had previously indicated it
was scheduled to be heard on
July 16 - and agreed to a new
date in January.
The case is US v.
Povataj, 15-cr-663 (McMahon)
