SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 29 – Michael Lamar on
narcotics conspiracy charges
was sentenced in January 2019,
and was released on November
27, 2019, under supervision.
On November 25 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lorna G. Schofield held a
violation of supervised
release and, it was said,
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it.
The
government was asking for
additional jail time.
Judge Schofield
said she didn't see the point
of that, but didn't want to
just release Lamar, but rather
into a residential drug
treatment program.
Probation
said they couldn't find a bed
right away. The idea emerged
to have Lamar begin
quarantine, until he can leave
and transfer to drug
treatment.
The case is US v.
Davis, 17-cr-610 (Schofield)
