SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 20 –
Brendamarie Alexander sued New
York City Department of
Education for age
discrimination. She is 53, and
says she was discriminated
against as an art teacher by
principals under
40.
On March 18, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Stewart D.
Aaron held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
There have
been multiple discovery and
sealing disputes. The
defendant has demanded medical
and financial records from the
plaintiff.
After inquiry,
Judge Aaron granted a motion
to seal medical records, but
directed that a redacted
version of the wider filing be
docketed.
The parties are
to meet and confer regarding
any continuation of the
Plaintiff's deposition.
The case is
Alexander v. New York City
Department of Education et
al., 19-cv-7023 (Nathan /
Aaron)
