SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 18 – Poof-Slinky LLC
sued a slew of copyright
violators on AliBaba and
AliExpress. But many have not
shown up.
On September 22, 2020 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Some
defendants appeared and said
they were willing to talk
settlement with Slinky.
Jump cut to March
18, 2022 Judge Ramos held
another conference after he
granted Poof-Slinky's motion
to dismiss "the Orel
Defendants' counterclaims."
Inner City Press again covered
it.
The defense
lawyer complained that four of
his client are listed as
having settled, without him
being involved. Poof-Slinky's
lawyer said the four had
reached out with another
lawyer, saying that often
happens in "these cases." A
defense response is due in two
weeks.
The case is
Poof-Slinky, LLC v. A.S.
Plastic Toys Co., Ltd., et
al., 19-cv-09399 (Ramos)
