SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 29 – Columbia University
was sued, in a class action,
for allowing unreasonable
expenses in the administration
of its pension
plans.
On June 29,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge George B. Daniels held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The class
action is on the way to being
settled. Judge Daniels granted
preliminary approval of the
settlement, discussed the
proposed notices to be sent
out, and set a fairness
hearing for October 12 at
10:30 am.
The case is Cates
et al v. The Trustees of
Columbia University in the
City of New York et al.,
16-cv-6524 (Daniels)
