SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 6 – Sylvia Garcia was one
of many who sued General
Motors for its ignition
switches. On August 6 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge James L. Cott
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Garcia, pro se, did not
appear. Judge Cott to his
credit directed GM to order
and email the transcript to
Garcia, and committed to put a
notation in the docket, which
he did, saying that Garcia
"has until September 4 to
provide either the missing
information identified on the
record to the 'New GM,' or
alternatively to seek further
relief from the Court."
We hope she does.
The case is In re: General
Motors LLC Ignition Switch
Litigation, 14-md-2543 (Furman
/ Cott)
