SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 2 – The website
FleetFarm.com was sued for
being inaccessible to blind or
visual impaired people.
On October 2,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Alison J. Nathan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
website's lawyer said that
basic inquiry had not been
made, that the site is using
state of the art accessibility
programs.
He implied
misrepresentation to the
court. Judge Nathan said
if that is the case, she will
act - but that she does not
have the facts. So the case
proceeds.
It is West
v. Fleet Farm E-Commerce
Enterprises LLC, 20-cv-4958
(Nathan)
