SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 10 – Anacasia Diaz has
worked as a Heavy Cleaner at
Columbia University for more
than sixteen years, but
complain along with other of
not being paid overtime.
Columbia and the union have
been sued.
On
September 10 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
William H. Pauley III held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defendants have said they will
move for summary judgment. The
plaintiffs mock that the
argument "has not been the law
for several hundred years."
Judge Pauley set
a briefing schedule, in all of
11 minutes, and said there
will be oral argument.
The case is Diaz
et al v. Local No.241 et al.,
17-cv-8898 (Pauley)
