SDNY COURTROOM
Exclusive, Oct 21 –
In the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York on October 20, a
detention proceeding was held
by Magistrate Judge Robert W.
Lehrburger on Fabrice
Tontisabo. Inner City Press,
after some initial hindrances
to access, was there.
The US
Attorney's Office had
announced "the arrest of
FABRICE TONTISABO for
persuading, inducing, enticing
and coercing two 14-year-old
minors to engage in sexual
activity. TONTISABO was
arrested this morning and will
be presented later today
before U.S. Magistrate Judge
Robert W. Lehrburger in
Manhattan federal court."
Before Lehrburger, who on the
same day allowed an indicted
crypto-currency fraudster to
phone in to his presentment
from JFK airport to avoid
detention, and ultimately to
fly back to Bermuda, listed
reasons to detain Tontisabo,
who is from Burkina Faso and
works in food delivery.
He alleged
did it a second time, and used
alcohol and marijuana.
Tontisabo had two friends in
the gallery where Inner City
Press was the only media; they
were ready to sign his bond.
But not bond was offered.
Tontisabo will be detained
pre-trial.
The case is US v.
Tontisabo, 21-mj-8751
(Lehrburger).
