SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 14 – Jeffrey Rodriguez was
arrested on December 3 at 3 am
on charges of having sent
cable news contributors a
series of violent,
threatening, harassing and
intimidating communications,
including threats of violence,
over social media.
Later on
December 3, Magistrate Judge
Debra C. Freeman held a
detention or bail hearing in
the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York, which Inner City Press
covers.
The
complaint, which Judge Freeman
has sworn out by Facetime the
previous day, allowing for
Rodriguez' arrest, quotes his
accounts calling the
broadcasters alternately
"barren" or "wrinkle
neck."
Judge
Freeman on December 3 ordered
Rodriguez released on $50,000
personal recognizance bond.
(Earlier in the
week Inner City Press
witnessed another release, but
was told that it was under
"delayed docketing" and even
the name of the released
defendant was not available).
This public case
is US v. Rodriguez,
21-mj-11534 (Unassigned)
