SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 30 – Professional models
sued 40 strip clubs owned by
RCI Hospitality Holdings, Inc.
for misappropriating, altering
and publishing sexually
suggestive images of
them. That was in 2016.
On August 28,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Valerie E. Caproni held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Caproni was in good spirits.
She repeatedly urge the
parties to consider
settlement. She denied a
request to bifurcate a motion
for summary judgment and said
she might give more time, if
the parties agreed to go
before SDNY Magistrate Judge
Sarah L. Cave and belated seek
to settle.
Amid talk of
hundreds of thousands of hours
of legal time for the motions
and a "blended" attorney
compensation level of $600 an
hour, settlement still seemed
far off.
The case is
Edmondson et al v. RCI
Hospitality Holdings, Inc. et
al, 16-cv-2242 (Caproni)
