SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 17 – A Mexican solar
energy company, Solax S.A.,
filed a lawsuit for breach of
contract, fraud and conversion
against a series a financial
institutions named Ithuba
which say they have only a
"virtual office" presence in
New York.
On
November 17, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
George B. Daniels held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Daniels was
appropriate skeptical that a
company could list an office
at 14 Wall Street, Suite 2019
yet claim it was not really in
New York. The lawyer said this
is more and more common. Judge
Daniels was and is not having
it.
