SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 14 – A former law clerk
to NYS Acting Supreme Court
Justice Douglas Hoffman sued
about sex harassment by
Hoffman and refusal to respond
by
others.
On March 14, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Gabiel W.
Gorenstein held a discovery
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
plaintiff had informed in
writing that attendance of the
discovery hearing was not
possible.
Judge Gorenstein
said that spending time on a
motion to extend discovery was
not productive.
In the
docket: "plaintiff has chosen
to engage in the tasks she
prefers to engage in rather
than attend the court-ordered
conference." He entered a
protective order.
The case is
Marquez v. Silver et al.,
18-cv-7315 (Carter /
Gorenstein)
