SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 8 – Troy Gilliard is on
supervised release for
narcotics conspiracy. He works
in a hospital, directly in the
rooms, cleaning them.
On March 8
in the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York, now Second Circuit Judge
Richard J. Sullivan held a
violation of supervised
release proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Sullivan said that for
Gilliard's front line work,
people should still be banging
on pots and pans in gratitude,
as they did earlier in the
COVID pandemic.
But, he
said, such work was no excuse
for positive drug tests.
He asked Gilliard
if he had been vaccinated yet,
since he is eligible.
Gilliard said he
was waiting to get the Johnson
& Johnson vaccine, one
shot, which he prefers.
Judge
Sullivan has asked for a
further report on May 4.
The case is US v.
Gilliard, 10-cr-1143
(Sullivan)
