SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 20 – GMA Accessories
says it undertook to create
and market attractive PPE for
the COVID pandemic.
It complains its
designs got ripped off by
nearby business HMY Jewelry,
Inc., also in Manhattan's
Garment District.
On
February 2, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The parties
proposed that discovery run
through June 1, 2021. Inner
City Press asked,what will be
the state of the pandemic, and
PPE, by then?
On April 20,
Judge Cronan held another
proceeding. Now the parties
are fighting about the
subpoena to, and possible
deposition of, HMY's IT
consultant Nadjari.
The case is GMA
Accessories, Inc. v. HMY
Jewelry, Inc., 20-cv-11126
(Cronan)
