SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 16 – Paul Brown sued the

for lack of social distancing
in the Rikers Island dorms
amid
COVID.
On November 16, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
Judge Cave said
that amended pleadings are due
by December 7, and that Brown
should expect to receive
medical releases in the mail,
and should sign them. A trial
date was set: April 18, 2022.
The case is
Brown v. New York City
Department of Corrections,
21-cv-4632 (Gardephe / Cave)
