SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 14 – Brian Garcia has a
violation of supervised
release case - but his
supervised release is set to
expire in October.
On
September 14 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Jesse M. Furman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
When long
time prosecutor Edward Diskant
pointed out the expiration of
supervised release, Judge
Furman said it is his
understanding that he will
retain jurisdiction over the
alleged violations even after
October.
He set a date for
November but told the parties,
including Garcia's white show
CJA Victor Hou of Cleary
Gottlieb, to let him know if
there is a legal problem, if
he should set bail conditions
similar to those of supervised
release that are running out.
The case is US v.
Garcia, 13-cr-143 (Furman)
