SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 28 – Nelson Gustavo
Colon-Torrez was convicted in
2014 in connection with a
cocaine trafficking conspiracy
from Puerto Rico to the
tri-state area including New
York. He became a cooperator.
Then he did it
again, in Florida.
On October 28 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Alison J. Nathan held a
violation of supervised
release sentencing. Inner City
Press covered it.
The case
had been transferred to Judge
Nathan from her late colleague
Judge Sweet.
The
defendant cited Judge Sweet,
and perhaps it helped him.
He was sentenced
to six months consecutive to
the time he is serving in
Florida.
The case is US v.
Colon-Torrez, 12-cr-844
(Nathan)
